Every 5–15 minutes we search for active repos sitting within ±80 stars of four milestone thresholds (1k, 10k, 50k, 100k). The page polls every minute; if a line is crossed, a celebration animation and a “milestone reached” toast appear.

FAQ

Must I keep the page open to see celebrations?

Yes. Crossing is detected in the browser by comparing successive polls — the server holds no history for you.

Why can the “gap” be zero?

The repo has crossed a line but still sits in the ±80 window — the “just crossed” state.
